The Gifted - Ch3Marko walked up to Saturn who was sitting on the same hill that they’d go to every time something went wrong or something unusual happened.   
“You got the letter too?” She asked as Marko sat next to her.  “Yeah. You think it’s just some random playing a prank?” Marko replied.  “Doubt it. It’s too proper and well written.”   
It was close to sunset and the pair sat discussing what the meeting was for and what the school would be like. It got late and they decided it was about time to return to their houses for dinner. They walked home swapping ideas about the new school;

The Gifted - Ch2It was Saturday and Saturn lay in bed sleeping peacefully, until her foster mother, Susan, came in and nudged her awake.   
“Wake up dear,” She said in a sweet tone. “You’re missing the best part of the day.”  “Piss off,” Saturn replied, still half asleep. “Or you’ll be missing the best part of your face.”  “But, it’s already six. Don’t you want to get out into the bright lovely morning. Take a jog? Visit a friend? Do something?”  “Nope. I just wanna lay here all day and sleep my worries away!” Said Saturn impersonating Susan’s annoyingly upbeat attitude.  “Well, I can’t allow you to waste your life. Why don’t yo The Gifted - Ch2

The Gifted - Ch1A figure stood in the shadows. Pondering. Waiting. The smell of garbage and dankness filling the alley he was in. The figure stepped forward. It was a 16 year old boy with shoulder length, black hair that was tied low and loosely. He was watching a house across the street from him. There was only one light left on in the house and he just needed to wait for that to go out.

The Gifted - PrologueIn a school high in the mountains the teachers were adrift with excitement and confusion. The child had been born and those who knew it were inquisitive. Those who didn’t, wanted to know more.  
 
A man in a white, hooded coat came from behind a door to face the crowd of teachers. Voices blared at him. Teachers wanting to know if it were true, if the new born child was the one with great destiny.
